Delivering my local plan for Nedlands
I grew up in a family of eight, rooted in a diverse community. Our family blend of urban and rural traditions—from Subiaco to Kojonup—has instilled a deep appreciation for the various walks of life within our community.
I’m passionate about maintaining our community’s charm, making sure local development is guided by local voices, and supporting community groups.
As part of the Mettam Liberal Team, I will deliver real solutions for Nedlands, driven by the right priorities to build a better future.
Meeting so many locals during this campaign has been a privilege, and your feedback has shaped my local plan.

We need to resist over-development and preserve the family-friendly character of our suburbs.
That’s why I’ll fight to ensure local voices are heard in local planning decisions. I’ll also safeguard our community against inappropriate high-rise by opposing projects like UEM’s 36 and 26 storey towers at Subiaco Oval.
I believe we need to protect historical buildings like the Windsor Theatre and others that reflect the history of our suburbs and provide character. I will also fight to protect tree canopies, green spaces, and ensure wide streetscapes.
SENSIBLE LOCAL PLANNING FOR ALL

The health of women and babies in our community is paramount, and their services must remain easily accessible in Nedlands.
That’s why I’m fighting to tri-locate the women’s, children’s and tertiary hospitals in Nedlands, while preserving the King Edward Memorial Hospital site for community use.
I believe it is of the utmost importance to maintain vital clinics for women’s health in Subiaco-Nedlands and will work with the Mettam Liberal Team to achieve this for our community.
KEEPING THE WOMEN’S HOSPITAL LOCAL

Everyone should feel safe walking our streets, day or night. That’s why I’m advocating for the ‘Safer Cities: Her Way’ pilot program.
This plan would include improved lighting in streets and around public transport hubs, increased CCTV and a more visible local police presence in crime black spots - especially near UWA, QEII, and Subiaco Central - and the introduction of a 24-hour Magistrates Court to assist with urgent family violence cases.
ENSURING SAFER STREETS FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES

We must sustain the beauty of the Swan River and rejuvenate local parks and bushlands, protecting our environment for future generations.
I’m committed to working with the Mettam Liberal Team to contain the polyphagous shot hole borer infestation and support bushland volunteers at Hollywood, Shenton, and Underwood Avenue.
I will also fight to rejuvenate the Sunset Hospital Park for community use.
PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT

Local planning decisions should respect the views of the community and align with its character.
That’s why I’m fighting to oppose the plan Labor are imposing that overlooks community voices.
I’ll also preserve local property rights and voices in planning matters and ensure residents are properly consulted on significant changes.
SCRAP THE EXPANDED UWA-QEII PRECINCT PLAN

Our local businesses are the backbone of the community, and we need to provide them with the support they deserve.
I will work with the Mettam Liberal Team to reduce the burden of tax and regulation and deliver reform to support small and medium-sized businesses.
I will fight to restore Western Australia as a top destination for investment and project development, and support emerging leaders, young and old.
BACKING LOCAL BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURS
